Big 12 Breakfast Buffett; back for more

Written by Jay Beck
In honor of the State Fair of Texas, how about startiing off your day with a banana burrito? In honor of the State Fair of Texas, how about startiing off your day with a banana burrito?

It's that time again. Nothing gets your college football Saturday off to a better start than a solid, wholesome, breakfast buffett. You're going to need a good, solid base if you any hope to make it all the way through.

Here's a little bit of everything happening around the league today. It should be another solid Saturday, but aren't they all?

Enjoy your day, stay safe, and we'll see you on the other side.

Best game of the day: Take your pick because there are three games which will have huge impact on the Big 12 race.

The Red River Rivalry is big as always, but the loser on Saturday will pick up their second Big 12 loss of the season.. Will that knock them out of the Big 12 title race? Not necessarily, but it sure won't make winning the Big 12 any easier.

Kansas State is on upset alert in Ames. Paul Rhoads has pulled off an upset every year he's been at Iowa State. Will the Wildcats be the next victim? Weather conditions are expected to be a factor on Saturday.

West Virginia heads to the state of Texas for the second straight week. Dana Holgorsen has downplayed the effect the extra travel will have on the Mountaineers, but it will be interesting to watch as they try to avoid any kind of let down following their big win in Austin last weekend.

Oklahoma State takes the field for the first time following their loss at home to Texas when a controversial call led to Texas' winning touchdown. J.W. Walsh will likely make another. Whoever it is, KU is going to do what they can to take advantage of OSU's youth. Good luck with that.

The last time Baylor took the field, they were giving up 70 points to West Virginia. The good news for the Bears is they won't see Geno Smith this week, but rather TCU freshman quarterback, Trevone Boykin, who is making his second career start for Casey Pachall who will be taking some time off from football after his recent arrest.

If you're interested in riding the bus with the Sooners from the team hotel to the Cotton Bowl, be ready to go at 8:30 central time because the bus isn't waiting for you.

And here are a couple vidoes from around the league to get your Saturday started.

Texas will be wearing the all white uniforms today in the Cotton Bowl. Do these guys seriously not know what a Storm Trooper is? Man, I'm getting old.

Iowa State's hit tape for Kansas State.

Hang out with the Sooner tailgaters, although this week they'll be doing it at the State Fair of Texas. By the way, did Jim Knox hit the weight room?

And finally, Collin Klein just keeps doing his thing.
